THE CLINTS OF ÁRAINN (Inishmore - Aran Islands, Galway)
The wet slabs of limestone (clints) that make up much of the karst of the Aran Islands give the appearance of bog pools or lakes with boulders and walls "floating" across their surface.
Mr Derham, Firstly, I am mightily impressed with the contents of your blog. I have been trying to contact someone related to Hugh Coyle, first of Filtown, then Limerick and finally Dublin. I am finalising a social history of Limerick and am including a bill-head of Hugh's business when he was in Limerick, my co-author, Tom O'Donavan is writing up on our various subjects and I am wondering if you have any family photographs of Hugh or his family.
