Galway Sunset
25 November 2010
At the edge of the sky,
The highway across an inner landscape,
Meanders downwards,
Amongst moon-crushed shells and desiccated bladders,
To wait with Lear’s children;
Savouring,
The champagne froth of a moment,
A sea-anointed, wind-blessed fulfilment.
